I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. My name is
Christa Atkinson and I am a second grade teacher in the Blue Wing.
You might ask yourself why did she start off with a quote. I
enjoy quotes and this one happens to be one of my favorite quotes because it
reminds me of what I hope to accomplish as a teacher.
I have earned two Master's Degrees. My first is in Communications from SUNY
at Buffalo. My most recent degree is from Niagara University in Elementary Education. I am soon going to return to the Niagara University Campus to begin my Certification in Special Education.
I have taught on a collegiate level and was an administrator at Niagara
Catholic Junior/Senior High School for six years. This is my eigth year
of teaching second grade at Lewiston - Porter. I am an
active teacher and parent in the Lewiston - Porter School Community.
My two greatest gifts are my children, Brent, a lew-port graduate, and Kerianne, who attends school
in the district.
