Hello! Please allow me to take a moment to tell you a little bit about myself. I taught first grade at the Primary Education Center for three years, last year I taught reading at the Intermediate Education Center and this year I will be returning to the PEC as a reading teacher. I am excited to be teaching during this crucial phase of reading development. The single biggest reason that I decided to become a reading teacher was my own passion for reading; I wanted to be able to share this with students and hopefully ignite a love for reading. I am currently a member of the International Reading Association, and I attend conferences regularly to better educate myself on how to effectively teach struggling readers using a variety of methods and tools. I truly enjoy teaching children how to become more engaged and capable readers, who understand the value of reading in our world.
