Hello! My name is Sonja Marchetti and I teach 3rd grade here at Lewiston Porter. My husband and I are both Lewiston-Porter Alumni and currently reside in Lockport with our family. We have two adorable children, Gabrielle is 6, Jack is 4 and Kipper (beagle) is 3 years old.
I am very excited to start the 2011-2012 school year. I have been teaching for nine years. I have been here at Lewiston -Porter since 2008. Prior to September 2008, I taught Pre-K at W. H. Stevenson Elementary in the the Wilson Central School District. Before, that I taught here at Lewiston-Porter in a variety of long term positions from 2002-2005.
In my classroom I try to create a fun, warm and safe learning environment for the children. I feel that the children learn the most when materials are presented in a fun, tangilble and creative way. I firmly believe in manners and practice this belief daily!
