The Primary Education Center is organized into wings of mixed grade levels (Kindergarten, First and Second Grades) to create a neighborhood atmosphere. The building theme is “Color Our World”. The wings are identified by using color and the rooms are numbered by the letter of the wing and a number, i.e. Green Wing – G3. The building logo symbolizes our commitment to nurture the use of young children’s curiosity to explore the world around them. The building plan includes many creative decorations to make our school attractive and welcoming.
“The Lewiston-Porter Primary Education Center strives to create a dynamic, joyful educational setting. Our school welcomes and nurtures young children as they use their curiosity to explore the world around them.We view the child’s first educational experience as a partnership between home, school and community. The uniqueness of each child is recognized, celebrated and built upon as they become responsible, caring individuals.Children are immersed in meaningful activities that develop literacy within an integrated curriculum. A wide range of experiences is provided to enhance each child’s development and to create the foundation for becoming a lifelong learner.”
