School Tax Information

Payment Schedule

It is essential that your tax bill is paid on time, or you will incur penalty fees. Mailed payments must be USPS postmarked by the following deadlines:

September 2-October 2: no penalty
October 3-October 31: 2% penalty

No payments are accepted after October 31. All unpaid school taxes will appear on the January county tax bill, including 3% interest and a 7% penalty fee.

Online Tax Viewing and Payments

You may view and/or print your tax bill and tax receipt online, following the steps below. You may also pay for your tax bill with a check or credit card using Xpress Pay.

After you have logged in, click on the Bills Tab (Middle of Page)
On the Information Tab, in the blank boxes either enter Parcel ID which is the SBL#, or Owner's Last Name, or Address (Loc Num is the house number & Loc Name is the street name only)
Click Enter on the keyboard.
Click on the "eye" icon to print the bill.
Click on the Reports Tab (last tab at the top of the page)
Click on the Public School Tax Bill - Reprint option
Disregard errors (in red).
Run report and print bill (2 pages).
Close tab and log out.

How to Print My Tax Receipt

After you have logged in, click on the Payment Tab (Middle of Page)

Click Enter on the keyboard.
Click on the "eye" to print the receipt
Click on the Reports Tab (last tab at the top of the page)
Click on the Public School Tax Receipt - Reprint option
Print reciept (Payment information is on the bottom of the receipt)
Close tab and log out.

Submitting Online Payments

IMPORTANT NOTE: The below linked portal is only available to receive payments from September 1 - October 31. Thank you for your understanding.

Click here to access Xpress Pay.
Enter Owner's Last Name.
Enter Street Name (one word).
Click on the correct record.
Click next.
Find additional tax bills to pay (if paying multiple bills).
Once all tax bills are listd to pay, proceed to checkout.
Choose to pay as Guest or Log In.
Select Payment Method:
1. Echeck: Site fee is $2.95 and only one check needed for multiple tax bills (recommended)
2. Visa/MC/Discover/AmEx: Site fee is approximately 2.85% (NOT Recommended)
***ALL SITE FEES ARE NOT REFUNDABLE AND ARE RETAINED BY WEBSITE PROVIDER***
Complete info needed for selected payment method.
Acknowledge and accept Terms & Conditions.
Verify code.
Select Pay.
Receipt will be sent to your email address.

Submitting Paper Payments

The Lewiston-Porter CSD has a new mailing address for school taxes. Please send any mailed checks by the deadline to the following address:

Alternatively, payments can be dropped off at our secure drop box, which is a locked grey mailbox located directly in front of the district office at the following address:

We kindly request that you leave only checks in the drop box, and remind you that the drop box will only be available during the part of the year when school taxes are collected.
