Staff Development Forms & Procedure
Please use the forms on this page when processing paperwork for Staff Development Credit.
Using PDP Premier to Log PD Credit
PD Credit is for individuals who need credit towards their re-certification (initial and professional certificate holders). This can be done during the school day or outside of the school day - it needs to be marked appropriately in PDP Premier.
Stipend Credit is professional development that is done outside of the school day and is paid for by the individual participant (i.e. Teacher Center courses). In accordance with the LPUT Collective Bargaining Agreement (7.10.6), courses which meet the requirements of 7.10.5 will be allowed salary credit at the rate of $67 per credit hour. Every 15 seat hours is equivalent to 1 credit hour. Again, please be sure you mark this appropriately in PDP Premier. It's not the District's responsibility to make sure you input staff development into PDP correctly.
Understand when in PDP Premier that all offerings through the District, O/N or Erie 1 BOCES along with the O/N BOCES Teacher Center can count for PD Credit in PDP Premier. If you take a course outside of the workday and the district does not pay for it, those could be put in for in-service credit (which is the same as stipend credit). You can take a course for both PD and In-Service at the same time assuming they meet all of the criteria listed above.
If you choose to take a course that is not a District Approved course (not listed in PDP) and you wish to receive stipend pay for the course, you must first get approval for the course by completing the Professional Development Request form.
ANY COURSES THAT ARE INPUT INTO PDP AFTER THE COURSE STARTS WILL BE DENIED EVEN IF YOU HAVE ALREADY PAID FOR THE COURSE. DO NOT START COURSES UNTIL YOU HAVE THE NECESSARY APPROVALS FROM YOUR ADMINISTRATOR.
Course Expectations for In-House Teacher Facilitated Professional Development (Face-to-Face and Online)
Please review the link below to review procedures. If procedures are not appropriately followed, credit for courses can be denied by the Curriculum Office. If you have any questions, please contact Andrea Tamarazio at ext. 7295.

Course Facilitation
If you would like to facilitate a professional development opportunity for other members of the faculty, please fill out the form below. By facilitating a PD opportunity, you will be credited double the amount of seat hours (for example, 15 hours of facilitation and 15 hours of planning for a total of 30 seat hours or 2 credit hours).
Course Completion
After you complete a course, you need to submit the certificate of completion/attendance with the Course Completion Form below. These forms need to be submitted within two weeks of the course completion (sometimes it takes a while for facilitators to get certificates out) to the Curriculum Office. Please be sure you submit proof of attendance when you submit your Course Completion Form. Forms submitted without proof of attendance will be sent back to the teacher.
