Report Card Information- Setting Up a Parent Portal Account

In order to move Lewiston-Porter Middle School into the technological future, we have slowly begun to initiate more effective ways to keep you informed; thus, as you may remember, the 5 week, Quarter 1, and 15 week progress reports were mailed to you along with instructions regarding how to set-up your own parent portal account to view your child's information.

Our desire now will be to provide you with this paper copy of the Quarter 2 progress report and the future 25 week report, however, subsequent Quarter 3, 35 week, and the final Quarter 4 report will be available only on your parent portal account, unless specifically requested by you.

The following is information you will need to set up your parent portal account, and if there are any problems doing so, please call or email Mrs. Beverly VanDeusen in our Guidance Office. 716-286-7208 or

Parents/Guardians: please set up an account in the student information system called the Parent Portal. This account will allow you to check on student grades, attendance, and to make adjustments to emergency contact information at any time and from any electronic device, including your phone.

If you have a child in High School or have already set up an account, you WILL NOT need to create a new account. You can simply add other Middle School children to your current portal as needed.

How to get to the Parent Portal:

  • Go to
  • At the top of the Home Page click on the A+ Parent Portal icon and then click Parent Portal
  • On the next screen click the green link that reads Click here to Access the Parent Portal Now
  • At the bottom of the screen click Create Account
  • Enter your name, email address and create your own username and password
  • At the next section, enter student's name, Access ID and Access Password (If you have not received this information or have misplaced it please contact the Guidance Department to obtain it: 716-286-7208.)

1st Semester Summary Letter from Mr. Auer:

Parents and students, as spring approaches, it is extremely important to stay focused on academics. If grades are not where they should be, it is important to contact your child’s teacher or the Guidance office to schedule a meeting to develop a plan for success.  We encourage you to communicate regularly with your child and validate their information with the teacher so that we all work together on this plan for success.

Please make sure you are fully aware of these midterm testing results. How well did your son or daughter do with these assessments? If learning gaps have developed with certain subjects, please make sure you contact teachers and help us create a plan for intervention. We have many programs during the school day and after school that can help with academic success. Our After School Assistance Program (ASAP) runs Monday - Thursday from 3:10-3:40 for students failing one or more subjects.  In addition, upon request and availability, individual teachers may work with students 2:40 – 3:10.   The first discussion has to be with the teacher. Email or call the school at 286-7208 to set up an opportunity to discuss, if necessary.

I am encouraging all students to take a serious look at Chinese Language and Culture instruction. We are presently offering Chinese Language at the middle school.  I encourage students to add this to their schedule, if that is something that interests them.

Together, we can create high expectations and develop a roadmap to achieve them. Remember, at Lewiston-Porter we strive to "Stay Focused" and"Aim Higher”.
