Lewiston-Porter Alumni Association Waste Management Scholarship #32
Award: $1,000 Due Date: April 18, 2024
Guidelines
- Applicant must be a senior graduating from Lewiston-Porter during the current school year.
- Applicant must be enrolled in, and then actually attend, an accredited community college, vocational school, college, or university within the next 12 months.
- No restrictions on age, race, religion, gender or citizenship.
- Applicant's field of study preferably leads to a career in environmental management, chemical engineering, or a related professional field.
Requirements
- Part I: Applicant Statement: Kindly describe specifically how you value the importance of stewardship of the environment. Please include how your chosen field of education will help to improve environmental conditions for the future. List all extracurricular activities in which you have had involvement.
- Part II: Faculty Member Recommendation: Request a Lewiston-Porter faculty member to provide you with a supporting recommendation. (This requirement is required.)
- Part III: Employer/Community Leader Recommendation: Invite one or more employers or community leaders to provide supporting letter(s) of recommendation. (This requirement is optional but strongly desired.)
- Part IV: Official Transcript: Request that the Lew-Port Guidance Office attach an official transcript to your application package.
