American Legion Post 1142 Candace Ann Cook Memorial Scholarship
American Legion Post 1142 Candace Ann Cook Memorial Scholarship #2
Award: $2,000, Due Date: March 24, 2025
Guidelines:
- Applicant must be a graduating high school senior enrolled in a Niagara County high school
- Applicant must have a 3.0 GPA, or higher
- Applicant must be pursuing a degree in Health and Human Services or Medical Field
Requirements:
- Completed Application Form
- 2 Letters of Reference; 1- Personal (Good Person) 1-Professional
- Up to 500-word essay addressing the 3 G’s (Good grades, Good Person, and Gracious) and how it relates to yourself
- Acceptance Letter from a 2- or 4-year college
Award Presentation
Selectee will be notified either by phone or email, along with date scholarship will be awarded. The presentation will be no later than June 14th of their senior year and will be held at the American Legion Post 1142.
