I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Ashli Skura Dreher, and I am very excited to be your child’s teacher!

In 1995, I graduated from Canisius College with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education (N-6) and English (7-9), and I completed graduate studies at D’Youville College in 1998 earning a Master’s Degree in Special Education. In 2002, I earned a Certificate of Advanced Study from Buffalo State College in Educational Leadership. Presently, a doctoral student in the University of Rochester's Teaching and Curriculum Department, I am enjoying learning more about developing this lifeskills program to meet individual student needs.

In 2002, I became a National Board Certified Teacher, following a year of analyzing my teaching practices, and I joined a cadre of about 800 NBCT's in New York State that have earned teaching's highest honor. In 2014, I was selected as the NYS Department of Education's Teacher of the Year. Currently, I develop, host, and help produce an education television program called Inside the Classroom, which is shown on several stations throughout our state.

Please take a moment to review each section of our classroom website to the left of the screen by clicking on the words next to the various bullets. You will find information regarding our reading program, lifeskills classes, and community-work experiences. The announcement section will give you information about upcoming classroom events. I hope you will find this site both informative and interesting!
