My name is Nicole Mosier. I am a music teacher in the Primary Education Center. I teach general music grades K-3 and third grade chorus.
I grew up in Niagara County and was always active in vocal and instrumental music. I went to conference All State on Flute in High School. I was a director for the instrumental summer camp at Niagara Falls High School for many years and have been involved in community theater productions. I am a graduate of State University of New York at Buffalo where I completed both my undergrad and masters degree.

This is my 26th year teaching music in the district. When I began I taught grades K-5 with 4th and 5th grade chorus in the South Building (present day IEC).
Over the years I have had students perform at local hospitals, Nursing Homes, and have been leading music for school wide celebrations. Celebrations  honoring
bus drivers and inviting in and honoring community heroes that served our country.

In my spare time I am a church musician, I work with children’s church and I perform at weddings and funerals on flute.

    Michelle Zachary

    IEC

Hello, My name is Michelle Zachary. I am a music teacher in the Intermediate Education Center. I have been teaching vocal/general music since 1993 here at Lewiston Porter and I have loved every minute of it!

I am a graduate of the University at Buffalo. When I started at LP in 1993, I was teaching general music grades K-5 and was responsible for the elementary chorus program in the old “North” building. Since then I have taught vocal and general music through middle school and am currently teaching grades 3-5 general music and direct grades 3, 4, and 5 choruses in the Intermediate Education Center. Over the years I have taught private piano lessons and sang in my church choir.

In addition to taking my vocal students to all-county festivals and community performances such as The Relay for Life, St. Mary’s Hospital, the Lewiston Senior Center and the Lewiston Christmas walk to name a few, I have been producing and co-producing the annual Elementary Musical for over 15 years. This has been an incredible experience above and beyond my regular teaching duties. I love exposing our young children to the world of theater as another means of expressing themselves.

I grew up in the area and presently live in the Lewiston community. I live with my husband, Brian and have a son, Joey and step-children Laura and Rob. My children all attended Lewiston Porter and were members of the music program. Lewiston Porter is a great school and I enjoy so much living and being a part of the community that I teach in!
