    Annual Budget Vote & Election 2021-2022 

    The Lewiston-Porter Central School District 2021-2022 Budget Vote & Election will be held on Tuesday, May 18, 2021, in the Multi-Purpose Room, Community Resource Center between the hours of 7:00 am and 8:00 pm. 

    Petition Packet for Nominations

    Potential candidates for the Board of Education must complete the petition packet below.

    Petitions for nominations must be submitted to the District Clerk no later than 5:00 pm on Monday, April 19, 2021.

    Absentee/Military Ballot Information

    Absentee Ballots:

    If you need to request an absentee ballot to vote in the upcoming school budget and board of election on Tuesday, May 18, 2021, please complete the Absentee Ballot Application. Completed ballot applications must be received in the office of the District Clerk no later than 5:00 pm on May 18, 2021. 

    Military Absentee Ballots:

    If you are presently serving in the military and would like to vote in the upcoming school budget and board of education election on Tuesday, May 18, 2021, please complete the Military Ballot Application. Completed ballot applications must be received by the district no later than April 22, 2021, at 5 p.m. by mail; by fax 716.286-7859; or email at mbarile@lew-port.com. Should you have any questions, please contact Marisa I.     Voter Eligibility:

    To qualify as a voter, a person must be:

    • a citizen of the United States
    • at least 18 years old
    • a resident of Lewiston-Porter Central School District for at least 30 days prior to May 18, 2021.
      (Education Law § 2012)

    No prior registration is required and residents do not have to be registered voters. (Education Law § 2012). But if you are interested in registering to vote for other elections that do require registration, you can register to vote at Niagara County Board of Elections. 

     

    The District is closely monitoring all current and future legal developments as they pertain to District elections and budget votes. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the deadlines and procedures stated herein may change as required by law or further state guidance. All District residents are encouraged to closely monitor the District’s website at www.lew-port.com for the most up-to-date information concerning the District’s Annual Meeting and Vote.
