    2024-25 Budget and Election Results

    Many thanks to our wonderful community for passing our 2024-25

    budget with a 72% approval rating.

    Proposition #I: Budget of $54,651,119 - passed (Yes Votes, 624; No Votes, 242)

    Proposition #2: Capital Improvements Project, 2024 - passed (Yes Votes, 609; No Votes, 240)

    The 2024-2025 Annual Budget Vote and Election for the Lewiston-Porter Central School District will be held on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Community Resource Center (Multi-Purpose Room), 4061 Creek Road, Youngstown, New York 14174.

    Absentee Ballot Application:

    Absentee application ballots are available for the Lewiston-Porter School District vote.  A District voter must request an application for an absentee ballot in advance of the vote date. The voter must complete this application. The application must be received by the District Clerk at least seven (7) days before the election/vote if the ballot is to be mailed to the voter, or the day before the election/vote if the ballot is to be delivered personally to the voter.

    Upon receipt and approval of the application, a ballot will be mailed. The completed ballot must be received by the District Clerk by 5 p.m. on May 21, 2024 the day of the vote. For more information, contact the District Clerk at 716-286-7266 or mbarile@lew-port.com.  


    NEW! Early Voting Ballot Application:

    A qualified voter may vote as an early mail voter.  Each person entitled to vote as an early mail voter and wanting to obtain an early mail ballot must make written application or complete this form to the district clerk. Contact the district clerk at mbarile@lew-port.com or 716-286-7266. The form must be received by the District Clerk at least seven (7) days before the election/vote if the ballot is to be mailed to the voter, or the day before the election/vote if the ballot is to be delivered personally to the voter.

    Voter Eligibility:

    To qualify as a voter, a person must be:

    • a citizen of the United States
    • at least 18 years old
    • a resident of Lewiston-Porter Central School District for at least 30 days prior to the vote.(Education Law § 2012)

    Apartment dwellers who meet these qualifications are eligible. No prior registration is required and residents do not have to be registered voters. (Education Law § 2012)
