  • School Social Work Services - are available to students and their families in the Lewiston-Porter Central School District. As the School Social Worker in the Intermediate Education Center (Grades 3-5) the social work services include: individual and group counseling, crisis management, peer mediation through restorative practices, classroom support, and holiday assistance.

Consultation and Referral - Parents who have concerns regarding their child's adjustment at home or in school can discuss their concerns confidentially and will be assisted in developing a plan or in locating an appropriate community resource.

Individual/Group Counseling - Counseling services are usually provided due to social/emotional needs impacting your child's education.  Individual and group counseling generally meet once a week. Referrals can be made by teachers, parents, or the Student Support Team (SST).

Dignity for All Students Act (DASA) - New York State’s Dignity for All Students Act (The Dignity Act) seeks to provide the State’s public elementary and secondary school students with a safe and supportive environment free from discrimination, intimidation, taunting, harassment, and bullying on school property, a school bus and/or at a school function.  If you or a student have a bullying situation to report please see the main office to fill out a DASA  Reporting form.  I am the DASA coordinator for the IEC.

Please feel free to contact me or your child's teacher if you believe your child needs school social work services.
