Guidelines:
- Applicant must be a high school senior attending college in the fall of 2025.

Requirements:

Lewiston Fire Company No. 1 Joseph H. Brautman Scholarship #60
Award: $1,000 Due Date: March 24, 2025
Guidelines:
- Applicant must be a graduating high school senior planning to attend college or accredited technical post-secondary school.
- Applicant must be related to or be a Lewiston Fire Company No. 1 Active Member, Exempt Organization Member.
- Applicant must be active, exempt, restricted member, spouse, mother, father, a child, stepchild, grandchild, step grandchild of a member as defined above.
Requirements:

- Submit a one-page essay describing how exposure if any to the fire service has impacted his/her goals.

Checkers Athletic Club Tom Donnelly Scholarship #16
Award: $500 Due Date: June 1, 2025
Guidelines:
- Applicant must be a graduating high school senior, and hold at least a B average (80%) throughout high school.
- Applicant must be a Section 6 Track and Field or Cross-Country athlete who have distinguished themselves through their: volunteer activities within our community; academic achievement; and commitment to personal fitness.
- Applicant should have a record of volunteer service to the community.
Requirements:
- A letter of recommendation written by an adult who has supervised, coordinated, or is otherwise familiar with your volunteer activities.
- A copy of your high school transcript.

Firefighter Arno Memorial Foundation Scholarship #64
Award: Varies Due Date: March 15, 2025
The Firefighter Arno Memorial Foundation was formed in honor of fallen Buffalo Firefighter Jason Arno, who heroically gave his life in the line of duty on March 1st, 2023. The mission of the FAM Foundation is to provide assistance, resources, and opportunities to first responders and their families in Western New York. To that end, the FAM Foundation has established the “FAM Foundation First Responder Family Scholarship” with the goal of providing financial assistance to high school seniors who are the sons or daughters of first responders in Western New York.
Guidelines
- Applicant must be a high school senior and the son or daughter of a local first responder, including firefighters, police officers, EMT/paramedics, corrections officers, or 911 call takers/emergency services dispatchers. First responder must be employed in Western New York.

Mason Forever Foundation Scholarship #26
Award: Varies, Due Date: June 13, 2025
The Mason FOREVER Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that promotes youth sports and students pursuing a degree in the medical/health/fitness fields. The foundation was established in 2020 in honor of Mason Sawyer Monteleone, a Junior on the Deans List at Florida State University. He was majoring in Interdisciplinary Medical Sciences when he tragically died in a car accident on August 28th, 2020. Sports, physical health, mental health and education were core to his being. Mason played youth football for the Lewiston Porter Youth Football Club and travel soccer for the Niagara Pioneer Soccer Club. He also participated in soccer, basketball, wrestling and track while in middle school at Lewiston-Porter. He attended Canisius High School where he participated in soccer, rugby and wrestling. He was also a member of the Catholic NY State Champion Canisius High School football team. He enjoyed snowboarding, skiing, and jet skiing. The Mason FOREVER Foundation was established to support other young people that share the same passions as Mason. We would like to thank everyone that has already donated, your generous support keeps Mason alive in our hearts and memories by promoting the ideals that embodied him.

The Mr. William Alberts Memorial Scholarship #67
Award: $1,000, Due Date: April 10, 2025
This scholarship is being provided in memory of William L. Alberts also known as “Mr. A”. who passed away on November 7th 2021. Mr. A. was a supervisor with Harrison Radiator and also worked at the New York Power Authority before becoming a substitute teacher with the Lew-Port School District. Mr. A. was actively involved with the Bible Presbyterian Church in Grand Island and loved spreading the word of the Lord.

Mental Health Association- The Justin Budwey Memorial Scholarship #68

This scholarship is being provided in memory of Justin Budwey, whose father Frank has been an instrumental advocate for those with a mental health diagnosis and mental health services for many years. We offer this scholarship to honor Justin Budwey’s memory and has been awarded each year dating back to 2010.

New York State Horticultural Society Paul Baker Memorial Scholarship #48
Award: $500, Due Date: March 28, 2025
The Paul Baker Memorial Scholarship was established to honor the memory of Paul Baker who, in May 2021, was tragically killed in an automobile accident.
Guidelines:
- Applicant must be a graduating high school senior with at least a 2.5 GPA.
- Applicant must be accepted and enrolled in a two- or four -year college or Trade School.
- Applicants need to be able to demonstrate a significant commitment of volunteer service, family values, work ethic, as well as commitment to the agricultural community.

Douglas Henderson Memorial Scholarship #22

This scholarship is presented in honor of Douglas Henderson. As a young man Doug was very active in school and sports and felt that he learned many important lessons about sportsmanship, teamwork and a good work ethic. This scholarship is presented in honor of Christopher D'Angelis, a Lewiston-Porter student who passed away during his senior year of 2006. Chris was a devoted student who thrived on using his skills and abilities to the highest degree of potential for the team. He was active in his local volunteer fire department and participated in community activities that benefited his locale. This award recognizes the values of his life, determination and support for the enrichment of community and love of his family. Guidelines
- Applicant must be a senior graduating from Lewiston-Porter during the current school year.

This scholarship is presented in memory of Connor Mooradian, a 2013 Lewiston-Porter High School graduate. Connor loved working on projects that used his hands and mind and always portrayed a strong work ethic to any project he worked on. Youngstown Lions Club Memorial Scholarships #75

Guidelines
- Applicant must be a graduating high school senior living in the Lewiston-Porter School District.
- Applicant must be enrolled full time in college, university, or a trade school with a start date of September of the scholarship year. Students who are pursuing careers that will provide service to their community such as nursing, the skilled trades, or education are encouraged to apply.

Nancy & Vicki Price Memorial Scholarship #54
Award: $2,000 annually up to 4 years Due Date: April 11, 2025
The Nancy and Vicki Price Memorial Scholarship is to honor the memory of Nancy Price, Director of Youngstown Recreation and Vicki Price, Lewiston-Porter teacher assistant. Nancy lived her life and ran the Youngstown Recreation program for 20 years. She was invested and tireless in supporting the youth and our community. Vicki’s smile and the way she loved and cared for others were an encouragement to everyone she encountered. Both these women are remembered for the many lives they touched. This scholarship is an annual award in their honor.

Kiwanis Club of Lewiston Scholarships #36
Award: Varies Due Date: May 2, 2025
The Kiwanis Club of Lewiston awards scholarships to graduating high school seniors that have demonstratrated leadership abilities, provided service to others, and achieved academic excellence with the purpose of encouraging these students in the pursuit of further education, high personal goals, and community responsibility.
The William & Joanne Roth Memorial Scholarship is awarded to a senior who is outstanding in all areas of his or her high school career. This scholarship is given in memory of William Roth, a 40-year member of the Kiwanis Club of Lewiston and his wife, Joanne, who was a teacher at Lew-Port for 35 years.
Guidelines

AFDSNY Ned Carter Memorial Scholarships #32
Award: $1,500 Due Date: February 25, 2025
The Association of Fire Districts of the State of New York will award four $1,500 scholarships to high school seniors entering college
Guidelines
- Applicant must be a high school senior who will be attending a two- or four-year institution of higher learning upon graduation.
- Applicant must be a firefighter, an Explorer in a fire department, or be related to any of these fire district personnel: firefighter, fire district secretary, fire district treasurer or deputy treasurer, a fire district administrator/manager.
- Applicant must be affiliated with a fire district or fire department that is a current member in good standing of the Association of Fire Districts of the State of New York.
- Applicant must be pursuing a community service related career which will include but not limited to- fire service, EMS, nursing, social work, health related services, teaching, paramedic, etc.

Guidelines
- Applicant must be a graduating high school senior who resides in Allegany, Cattaraugus, Chautauqua, Erie, or Niagara County.
- Applicant must be enrolling in a two- or four-year college and must be planning to major in one of the following courses of study: Agriculture, Botany, Conservation, Environmental Science, Forestry, Horticulture, Land Management, Landscape Design, Wildlife Science, or A Field Related to the Preceding.

Guidelines

Guidelines
- Applicant must be graduating from a Niagara County high school with a Regents diploma in June with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or a B (83-85) weighted average.
- Applicant must plan to enroll as a full-time matriculated student at NCCC for the fall semester of the year that the award is issued.
- Applicant must have previous volunteer community service and demonstrated involvement in high school activities. Include these details in the application essay.

Olivia's Bears - Jessica Stone Memorial Scholarship #38
Award: $1,000 (2) Due Date: April 28, 2025
Olivia's Bears was started in 2009 by Olivia Gonyea who had spent the previous year battling a rare form of bone cancer. You can read more of her story on the attached scholarship application.
Eligibility Guidelines
- Applicant must be a survivor or have a sibling of a life-threatening illness or currently diagnosed with an illness. Applicant does not have to be currently receiving treatment to qualify OR can be a sibling of an individual diagnosed with a life-threatening illness.
- Applicant is enrolled in or accepted for enrollment in an a two-year, four-year, graduate or technical schools.
Requirements:

- Part I: Complete the Scholarship Application.
- Part II: Submission of College Acceptance Letter:
- The Scholarship Committee requires the recipient of a scholarship to submit a copy of an acceptance letter or unofficial transcript from the applicant’s college/university of their choice or a letter of good standing from the registrar.
- Part III: Letters of Recommendation:
- Applicant must submit two letters of recommendation from two different academic teachers.
- Part IV: A letter from your attending physician or family members verifying medical history and/or current medical situation must be submitted and will be kept confidential.
- Part V: Essay: Submit essay topic listed on the application in which you are applying to.
- Essay length must be 500 words minimum or 1,200 words maximum.
